A Psychotherapist qualifying in 2013 and working in the field of mental health since 2008.
I am a mum, step mum, and recognise the challenges of parenthood and family life.
After my daughter was born in 2018, I became particularly interested in supporting parents from pregnancy into parenthood. My personal experience of pregnancy did not meet the expectations I had hoped for and becoming a parent was harder than I had ever imagined. I lost my sense of identity and struggled to adapt to my role as 'mum'. Learning to adapt, accept, and be more compassionate towards myself have been some of the key learnings on my parenting journey.
Though my specialist interest is supporting parents in the perinatal period, I continue to support people with a wide range of emotional difficulties.
Providing you with a safe and compassionate space to feel heard, valued, and understood is essential to therapy sessions that I offer.
